Our Top 5 Latin Songs of the Moment-September

Wow, was it hard to pick a top 5 this month! We've got a variety of styles here that will suit anyone's taste. How would you rank these hits? Let us know in the comments below!

5. "Balas y Chocolate"-Lila Downs

Why We Picked It: The title track from singer/songwriter and Grammy-winner Lila Downs's most recent album beautifully conveys her passion for her native Mexico. Fun fact: the bright and colorful video also depicts the journey of the cocoa bean through the outfits worn by the singer.

4. "A Prueba de Amor"-Sie7e

Why We Picked It: We will never get tired of Sie7e's cool, laid back vibe. Included on his 2014 album Relax, the music video premiered just a few weeks ago.

3. "Somos Uno"-Yandel

Why We Picked It: “Somos Uno” is a song with which Yandel hopes to bring a message of positivity and unity to all. Produced by Nesty La Mente Maestra, producer of hits such as Wisin & Yandel’s “Estoy Enamorado” and Alexis y Fido’s “Santa de Mi Devoción,” it will be featured on Yandel’s upcoming solo album Dangerous, set for release on November 6.

2. “Sin Una Nube”-Alessandra Amoroso ft. Diego Torres

Why We Picked It: This duet came as a wonderful surprise to us here at Musical Notes Global. Included on Alessandra’s self-titled Spanish language debut album, it is the Spanish version of her previously released solo track "Senza nuvole." We couldn’t have paired 2 more perfect voices together if we tried.

1. "El Amor Verdadero"-Il Volo

Why We Picked It: Perhaps showing a little more of Il Volo's "pop" side, "El Amor Verdadero" is fresh and modern while staying true to the trio's classic, signature style. It will be featured on the trio's upcoming Spanish album Grande Amore, available for sale tomorrow, September 25. See the Italian version of the single, "L'amore si muove," featured on last month's Top 5 list of Italian songs.
