PLAYLIST: T. Thomason Shares 10 Songs for Your End of Summer Bike Ride

Summer is almost over, but that doesn’t mean the #SummerBops have to stop.

T. Thomason is a Nova Scotia native seasoned in the art of making choruses meant to be sung with friends at the bar. Creating a world of indie-synth-goodness, his energy is contagious and makes his music that much better.

Thomason’s latest release, “Pleasure”, which was released on July third, is a sexy, slow-building pop track that explodes in the chorus. The song is about finding beauty in the little things in life and embracing the simplicity within it, and its synth and pre-chorus alone will make listeners, no matter where they are in the world, feel like they’re sipping on expensive champagne in a booth at a night club.

“Pleasure for the sake of pleasure” is the mantra for the rest of 2019 and beyond.

Thomason recently curated a playlist of songs that are perfect for an end of summer bike ride. Check them out below!

1. “I Got a Bicycle” - Coco Love Alcorn

This is a track off the first Coco album that I was really familiar with - “Joyful”. I always thought it was so cool that they made the percussion entirely out of bike sounds. Obviously this is the way to kick off your ride.

2. “Simple Pleasures” - David Myles

I love how positive and full of possibility this song is. One thing I’ve always loved about biking is that once you have the bike, you can just get around for free. No cab fare, no bus fare. You can get a lot of spots you might not be able to access with a car. Today, you are going to a lake just outside the city.

3. “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” - The Beach Boys

If this song doesn’t say “summer bike ride,” I don’t know what does.

4. “Boogie Feet” - Kesha ft. Eagles of Death Metal

This tune will get ya pedaling hard to a good rhythm through traffic or on an uphill country road. Kesha really captured a moment of pure joy here, which I think is similar to the euphoria off the rush of a good ride. Let ur boogie feet take you far!!

5. “California Paradise” - The Runways

I will never get over The Runaways. This song is all summer, all sweat, all the beat you need to keep the momentum going on your ride.

6. “Island In The Sun” - Weezer

Phewf, over the peak of that hill and you’re about ready to just coast for a second, but first you gotta zip by this field of cows so you can actually take that breather…

7. “Ride” - Lana Del Rey

You’re on the long windy stretch and you still have a ways to go, but you’re taking it easy for a second. That’s fair. We’re not trying to have a heart attack here.

8. “Breakdown” - Jack Johnson

Don’t give up!!! You just gotta push through!! You got this! Jack says he can’t stop now, and neither can you! Think of the lake!

9. “Stronger” - Kanye West

Just the tune to get you through the last chunk of a ride when you’re like NOOOOO IT’S TOO MUCHHHHHH

10. “Feelin’ Groovy” - Simon & Garfunkel

Chill out, bud. You’ve arrived.
