Alejandro Sanz Releases Single with Zucchero

Today Alejandro Sanz released his single “Un Zombie a la Intemperie” as a collaboration with friend and legendary Italian singer Zucchero.

Sanz, a 17-time Latin Grammy award winner and a 3-time Grammy award winner, has sold over 23 million albums all over the world. His most recent album, Sirope, was released in May, of which “Un Zombie a la Intemperie” is the lead single.

Although the single featuring Zucchero is only available in Italy right now, we’ve included the link to the video via YouTube for those of you who can access it.

Eros Ramazzotti New Album Release: Perfetto/Perfecto

Eros Ramazzotti never fails to disappoint. We are absolutely loving his latest album Perfetto (released in Spanish as Perfecto). One of our longtime favorites, Ramazzotti is an emotive songwriter with a knack for writing powerful, and many times refreshingly hopeful, lyrics. His songwriting skills especially shine on this new album.

The lead single, "Alla fine del mondo," brings an unfamiliar flavor to Ramazzotti's repertoire with a banjo-filled chorus, lending a country twang to the track. "Il tempo non sente ragione," the recently released second single, is more definitively "Eros" and in our opinion is even stronger than the first. The title track, though, is our favorite from the album, which has just a little more of a classic vibe. With a total of 14 songs, the album is another solid work that Eros can add to his catalogue. His world tour begins in the fall.

Alessandra Amoroso Releases New Single for Latin Market

Alessandra Amoroso, winner of the 2009 edition of Italy's Amici di Maria De Philippi, is the latest Italian singer to crossover into the Spanish language market. Already well established in the Italian market, she has recently released her first Spanish single, "Grito y No Me Escuchas" (Italian version: "Urlo e Non Mi Senti"). She sounds phenomenal singing in both languages, and we're looking forward to hearing more from her.

Rising Artist Spotlight: Giovanni Caccamo

It seems that Italy's X Factor is quite successful at finding new talent. Our featured artist today, Sicilian singer-songwriter Giovanni Caccamo, was a participant on the fourth edition of the show.

"Ritornerò da te," his first single from his debut album Qui per te, was released in February and presented at Sanremo this year, where he won the Newcomer's category.

His music strikes us very differently from other Italian artists we know. A little reminiscent of Coldplay, Qui per te sounds current, radio-friendly, and hip, for lack of a better term. We, of course, became hooked and we're thrilled to have discovered such a great young talent.
