Mr. 305 is back and better than ever with a brand new album, and it has a little something for everyone.

Libertad 548 is Pitbull’s first studio album since 2017, his 11th overall, having taken time out to compose the soundtrack for the anticipated 2018 biopic Gotti alongside Jorge Gomez.

Produced by Pitbull and GRAMMY® award-winning producers IAmChino and Jorge Gomez, along with Jimmy Joker, Libertad 548 was released under his own label, Mr. 305 Records, and comprises 13 tracks that are sure to have listeners all over the world dancing nonstop.

Featuring a star-studded cast of collaborators—everyone from Natti Natasha to Daddy Yankee to Ne-Yo are listed as featured artists—the album is a creative love letter to freedom. In a moving gesture, the Miami-born rapper with Cuban roots used the album’s title to pay homage to his father, who rescued 548 Cuban refugees during the 1980 Mariel Boatlift and brought them to freedom. In its entirety, the album represents just that, serving as a passionate call to live life freely and to the fullest, with lots of zeal and zero regrets.

Through infectious feel-good tracks like “3 to Tango” and “No Se Lleva Nada” (ft. El Micha), club-ready anthems like “Cinco De Mayo” (ft. Lil Jon and Chesca), and even a sensual slow jam (“Tell Me Again” ft. Prince Royce and Ludacris), Mr. 305 reminds listeners all over the world to enjoy every moment and to savor the sweetest of earthly pleasures and the extraordinary ecstasy of all that life has to offer.

Although the album opens with “Winning,” a hard-hitter featuring Cuban urban duo Yomil y El Dany that can be heard in a television commercial for Boost Mobile, lead single “No Lo Trates” is what encapsulates the crux of Pitbull’s hypnotic and incomparable magic. The collaboration brings on two of Latin music’s modern giants, Daddy Yankee and Natti Natasha, resulting in a phenomenal international hit that has achieved RIAA 6x Platinum status and has accumulated more than 100 million global streams, in addition to 180 million + views on YouTube.

After all, he hasn’t been coined Mr. Worldwide for nothing.

In a refreshing switch of gears, “Me Quedaré Contigo” featuring Ne-Yo, Lenier and El Micha shows the softer, gentler, and more romantic side of Pitbull, a genuine delight considering this is a side of the multi-faceted performer that fans don’t have the opportunity to see all that often. The song unites the unique styles of each artist involved—Pitbull’s commanding flow, Ne-Yo’s smooth vocals, Lenier’s romantic reggaeton, and El Micha’s smokey raps—and was released with a powerful music video filmed under the direction of Alexandra Sdoucos that captures all the beauty and inspiration of love in all its forms.

On Libertad 548, Mr. 305 also pushes his own creative limits by exploring new sonic territory through songs like “Get Ready,” a collaboration with Blake Shelton that, in all aspects, is an unexpected yet welcome surprise. The track seamlessly blends the signature twang of country and the vibrant, dynamic Latin flavor that Pitbull built his brand with. The Grammy Award winner and entrepreneur even brings a familiar hit back to life through “Happy Mama Day” featuring Chacal and Sky Monroe, which samples “Everybody Everybody,” the 1989 chart-topper from Italian house trio Black Box.

Pitbull wrapped up 2019 by releasing Libertad 548 in a physical edition, which includes two bonus tracks: “Ocupado” ft. Flo Rida and Yomil y El Dany and “Cantare” ft. Lenier, which samples the global Italian classic “Volare.” He also appeared on Univision’s ¡Feliz 2020!, performing “Don’t Stop the Party,” “Get Ready,” and “Give Me Everything” to help ring in the new year.
