Our Top 5 Latin Songs of the Moment-June

It’s time for our monthly Top 5 again! Here are some of the songs we've had on our playlist this month. We hope you like them too.

5. “Como Yo Te Amo”-Gloria Trevi

Why We Picked It: Perhaps more well known for her danceable hits like “Habla Blah Blah”, “Como Yo Te Amo” comes as a pleasant change of pace for the Mexican songstress. An impactful and compelling ballad, the music video was just released a few days ago and has already reached almost 1 million views on YouTube.

4. “Fiesta”-Mauro & Jota

Why We Picked It: We love this catchy, upbeat track from the up-and-coming Venezuelan duo Mauro y Jota. An instant mood-lifter, it’s perfect for any summer “Fiesta.” We’ve had it on repeat ever since we first heard it.

3. “Tú y Yo”-Natalia Jiménez

Why We Picked It: Natalia Jiménez is, like, the best. “Tú y Yo” is captivating and beautifully showcases the versatility of Natalia’s voice, which is just as stunning at its most powerful as it is at its most vulnerable. See “Algo Brilla en Mí,” also from her album Creo En Mí, featured on April’s list of our Top 5 Latin Songs of the Moment.

2. “Muchachita Linda”-Juan Luis Guerra

Why We Picked It: Juan Luis Guerra’s 12th studio album Todo Tiene Su Hora (2014) is dynamite and has already produced two huge hits: “Tus Besos” and “Todo Tiene Su Hora.” “Muchachita Linda,” its most recent single, is dedicated to his daughter. The video was released a few days ago, just in time for Father’s Day.

1. “Agua Bendita”-Victor Manuelle

Why We Picked It: What a beautiful and renewing love song this is. “Agua Bendita” is the most recent single to come off Victor Manuelle’s album Que Suenen Los Tambores. Something about it reminds us of Juan Luis Guerra’s “La Bilirrubina”…and we love it!
