The Gold Setting Shares New Track "Video Star"

Funk band The Gold Setting has just shared another amazing new track from their upcoming EP Volume and Tone.

A groovy Motown-flavored song, "Video Star" incorporates elements of funk, soul, and electro-pop. As frontwoman Liza Colby explained, the song is "a head nod to the present with all the social media video: Instagram, Snapchat, internet" and talks about "wanting the one you like to watch you, and still [being] a 2017 web celeb."

The Gold Setting comprises Liza Colby (The Liza Colby Sound) along with multi-instrumentalist/arranger/performer Todd Simon, Grammy-nominated producer/engineer/musician/composer Adam Berg, and songwriter/producer/musician Richard Rudolph. Together they create an addicting, enveloping sound that will instantly put you at ease.

Colby recently contributed to Musical Notes Global's Women's History Month playlist series. Check it out here and listen to The Gold Setting's previous single "My Love" here. Volume and Tone is scheduled for release next month.
