Last week, Los Angeles-based alt-folk duo Freedom Fry released their new EP Strange Attraction.

Defined by fantastic melodies and pulsating beats, Strange Attraction features four tracks that capture the duo's sparkling folk-driven feel-good sound.

The two singles released from the EP—the groovy, anthemic title track and the rhythmic "Party Down"—were both featured on Spotify's "Indie Pop!" playlist.

"'Party Down' is a song about getting through the grind of your daily life and wanting to make the good times last longer — having the foresight when you're in a good moment to realize that once it's over you're going to miss it," the duo said about their newest single. "We were playing with synths as lead elements, which we haven't done very much as a band. We wanted the beat to feel like a cross between Michael Jackson and the more danceable songs by The Clash. Once that was in place the rest of it just came together."

Freedom Fry's music has been featured in over 50 films, shows, and commercials, including Judd Apatow's "Love" and Grey's Anatomy. They have also toured through Europe and the US performing with Stromae, Phantogram, X Ambassadors, and others.

Listen to Strange Attraction now on Spotify. For all of Freedom Fry's latest news and updates, follow them on social media:
