Blake Rose Explores the Effects of Drug Addiction in New Single "Best of Me"
/At just 21 years old, Blake Rose is already making a statement with his intoxicating blend of alt-pop, indie rock, and soul.
The Australian-born artist has been featured on more than 30 official Spotify playlists and has accumulated over 30 million Spotify streams to date. Considering his authentic storytelling and crisp vocals, it’s no surprise.
Rose released his most recent single, “Best of Me,” last month. Written and produced by Rose himself, the song follows his previous singles “Hotel Room” and “Lost” and gives listeners a personal glimpse into the realities of what it’s like to be close to someone who struggles with drug addiction.
With “Best of Me,” he says, he "wanted to give people a snapshot into what that feels like and how devastating it is to watch."
