/Lena Leon is on a mission, and we adore her for it.
Based in New York City, the singer, songwriter, and audio engineer is driven by her love of pop music and strives to help other women overcome their fears and learn how to self-record. She never fails to put her heart into whatever she is working on and has penned a variety of #1 hits, collaborating with major artists including Tiesto, Deorro, and Spencer Ludwig.
“It's important to me that all my music is fun, but lyrically have an underlying powerful message,” she says. “At the end of the day I just want to make fun dance pop music that people can enjoy.”
On her new single “Walls,” Leon teamed up with Andy Tongren of the New Jersey-based indie alternative band Young Rising Sons. Although it dives into the excruciating throb of heartache, the song is melodically uplifting, guaranteeing listeners a momentary reprieve from any breakup.
“Walls represents both the walls of the room the couple lived in together and the walls they created between themselves,” Leon explains. “The lyrics tell a story of two people packing their bags, and moving out of the place they lived together after they've decided it wasn't working out between them.”
