Fear is a driving force in a lot of life situations. These worries and anxieties are all part of growing up and define who a person is meant to be.

Reno McCarthy is an alternative pop artist out of Montreal, Canada whose fears inspired his debut album Counterglow. Released on May 10, the album is a glowing mix of 11 different but cohesive tracks—from pop-rock anthems to laid back jams—that, when combined, shape up to be an impressive first album.

“Still,” the lead single off of Counterglow, is funky and groove-oriented. Guitars, a booming bassline, and a clubby beat have listeners dancing in their seats and bobbing their heads along. The infectious track is the fourth on the album, easily becoming a fan favorite since its release.
