WATCH: Chris LaRocca Channels The Sopranos in New Music Video "Dice Out/Test On Me"

Based in Ontario, R&B singer and producer Chris LaRocca has us feeling all the feels with his latest release.

The self-taught musician is fresh on the heels of his sophomore EP Saudade, a collection made for summer. Yet, in stark contrast to the dreamy synths and R&B riffs that make it so easy to listen to, memories and nostalgia are found in abundance, while the wistful hunger of chasing a yearning that will never be fulfilled is a running theme throughout the entire EP.

In fact, the word “saudade,” although untranslatable from Portuguese to English, describes a melancholic nostalgia and longing for a moment that never happened. “A vague and constant desire for something that does not and most likely cannot exist,” LaRocca says. “This is a feeling that is not only very familiar to me, but a feeling that heavily inspired this body of work.”

Following the release of Saudade, LaRocca dropped the music video “Dice Out/Test On Me,” which was inspired by his hometown of Woodbridge, Ontario, the biggest Italian community in the world. Lovers of The Sopranos are sure to enjoy this one.
