GioBulla Tackles Domestic Abuse in Powerful New Single "Me Arrepiento"

GioBulla is one of the freshest voices in the Latin R&B scene today, and this past Friday, the Dominican-born singer and songwriter released his new single “Me Arrepiento.”

Penned by GioBulla with Cris Chil along with Daneon and Daramola, who also produced the track, “Me Arrepiento” serves as a new anthem for female empowerment fortified by the intent to inspire and remind anyone in a toxic relationship that the abuse they are experiencing, whether physical or emotional, is not their fault.

"Women often find themselves living trapped in harmful cycles of a hurtful relationship with no way out while their partners cheat and play with them, and even physically abuse them," GioBulla notes.

“Me Arrepiento” is an emotional follow up to the artist’s successful debut single “Astro Funk,” demonstrating his prowess for connecting to the most vulnerable depths of the soul once again through his unmistakable vocals and honest, admirably sincere delivery. The track’s accompanying music video, which was filmed under the direction of Venezuelan filmmaker and photographer Carluccio, shows the protagonist’s heartbreaking suffering through Gio’s point of view.
