Egyptian Trendsetter Felukah Drops Girl Power Anthem "What She Does"

Although Women’s History Month has long since ended, we’re still celebrating all those badass women in music who have changed the industry for the better, and Felukah is here to give us another dose of unstoppable energy that will keep us going all year.

Hailing from Cairo but currently based in NYC, the hip-hop and neo-soul singer/rapper blends Arabic and Western influences in a stunning way while incorporating both Arabic and English lyrics to create a mystical, mesmerizing sound that will leave listeners wanting more.

Felukah’s latest single “What She Does,” which was released on International Women’s Day, is a timely anthem that boasts a wildly catchy hook and scintillating rhythm. Produced by Mostafa Zaghloul and Isaac Sleator, “‘What She Does,’ is an ode to boss women everywhere,” she says, and it will no doubt continue to empower all those women out there to not only dream, but to make those beautiful dreams a reality.

The music video reflects the message of the song, showcasing black/brown female artists and entrepreneurs in New York City doing the work they love, and it doesn’t get much better than that.
