Samantha Sánchez Arrives for the Summer with Empowering New Single "CTRL"

2022 has been another tremendous year for rising Latin sensation Samantha Sánchez. It’s been a year that’s seen her team up with Budweiser on their Royalty NFT collection and continue to grow her musical career.

After dropping her infectious single “Bad Kiss” in March, the young star returns with her latest hit “CTRL,” an energetic song that captures the magic of summer and the power that comes with taking control.

Written by Sánchez herself with Ana Mancebo and Antonella Russionello, “CTRL” is the singer’s first collaboration with Sean Turk and marks the first project she’s created in the studio alone, an experience that allowed her to fulfill her desire for experimentation and allowed her to venture into the electronic genre for the first time.

Just as she headed up the song’s composition, Sánchez also guided the filming of the official music video, remaining at the helm of direction behind a camera that she bought herself. The fun clip evokes a wild sense of freedom, following her as she sets out on a road trip with her best friends and enjoying summer activities together like spending time outside, going to the beach, and shopping.

“The truth is that I wanted this song to be the most authentic to me,” Sánchez notes. “I wanted to overcome my fears and lose control. In this video, I lost my fear of heights and shared a complete picture with my audience of how I’d enjoy this song. I wanted to film and edit it to change up my routine a little and so that it wasn’t so serious, having a good time and letting people enjoy that real energy from the bottom of my heart. It’s a song full of energy and I’m very proud.”
