Unity: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson

Salsa + Michael Jackson?

While we're on the fence about this release, we love the meaning and purpose behind it. Produced by Tony Succar, a Peruvian born musical jack of all trades, Unity was developed in tribute to Michael Jackson's life, work, and message.

The album features some of Jackson's greatest hits, including "Thriller" and "Billie Jean," remixed by Succar alongside more than 100 musicians and Latin stars such as Tito Nieves and India. The tropical/salsa infusion doesn't work quite as well on some of the tracks as it does on others, but we do like the ones it does work on. More importantly, though, we love the purpose of the album, which is to erase cultural barriers. And that is something we truly believe in.
