St. Humain just released his fourth single “Fever Vibe,” a dreamy electro jam that channels all the feelings of summer and the excitement that comes with a newly blooming relationship. Today he shares five songs that inspired the single with Musical Notes Global. Check out the list below!
“Remember I Told You” - Nick Jonas, Anne-Marie & Mike Posner
It’s got such a good grove & I think it’s such an underrated song! I especially love how the vocals are layered, and how the three artists’ voices complement the track in a different way. So tasty. The final chorus is so damn satisfying.
“New Rules” - Dua Lipa
Besides the fact that this is a MOOD… I love how incredibly simple the track is. I was listening to it in the studio once with my mix engineer and I think it’s so freaking smart. Mad props to Ian Kirkpatrick who produced this one.
“Issues” - Julia Michaels
I love how this song uses strings – just imagine it without them! Besides that, it’s such honest songwriting and I find it so cool that you can be that vulnerable and “plain truth”, yet be so deeply powerful at the same time.
“Trouble” - R3HAB, VÉRITÉ
I first heard R3HAB with his “Ain’t My Fault” remix for Zara Larsson and his track “Icarus” – he’s great on the vocal samples and I was so inspired to do make my own as well! I love how crisp R3HAB makes them on “Trouble”.
“There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back - NOTD Remix” - Shawn Mendes, NOTD
NOTD are powerhouses when it comes to making electronic music and this remix is major evidence of that!! Big fan here. I loved especially how they managed to still keep the original song’s “heart” on their remix!
St. Humain is currently gearing up to release his highly anticipated debut EP EMOTIONAL SAUNA, which is set to drop in January 2019. Listen to “Fever Vibe” below.
